Initiative to qualify the Safari /Daily boats crew
Dears / Owners of Touristic Safari Boats / Legal representatives of Touristic Safari Boats /Technical Managers of Touristic Safari Boats and/or Dive centers who own daily boats
With reference to our announcement #42 of 2023 regarding the launch of safety and security training courses for the Safari boat crew, and/or the crew of daily boats owned by diving centers members of CDWS, to operate safely onboard.
CDWS is continuing Free of Charge training courses in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and The Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transportation, for Safari boat crew, and/or the crew of daily boats owned by diving centers members of CDWS.
- The Courses planned currently are for the following categories:
1- Skipper.
2- Deck Hand.
3- Mechanic.
- The targeted categories and courses entry requirements are as follows:

After taking the course, and for those who want to receive a professional license, they need to provide the below requirements to the Egyptian Maritime Safety Authority:
1- Copy of the National ID’s.
2- Copy of the license.
3- Copy of the academic qualification.
4- Medical report done via a governmental or Armed Forces Hospital.
5- Drug analysis is done via a governmental or Armed Forces Hospital.
6- Criminal report addressed to the Egyptian Maritime Safety Authority.

Instructions for Attending the Course:
- You are kindly requested to fully commit to attending the training courses held during those dates and times so that the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety can provide you the required licenses to practice the profession based on the certificate of completion of the training course, which is the basic requirement for obtaining that license.
- The dates/ times of the courses must be adhered to, in case of non-adherence attendance shall be permitted.
- Attendees must be present 15 minutes before the course to complete the registration, it is not allowed to join the course late.
- Showing the National ID card, original, and copy is required.
- Showing the professional CDWS card, original, and copy is required (depending on the course).
-Commitment to attend the full course duration (2 days / 3 days) is a condition for obtaining a course certificate, and attendance will be canceled if all days of the course are not attended in full.
- Mobile phones must be on silent mode during the session.
- The trainer has the right to cancel the trainee's attendance in case of non-compliance with the course instructions.
- It is not allowed to leave the training hall for any reason.
- Smoking is not allowed inside of the hall.
- Food and drinks are not allowed inside the hall (except for water).
- Adherence to the 15-minute break is a must.
- Remain calm and be present in the place designated for the session inside the hotel to avoid any complaints from the guests.
- Wearing shorts is not allowed in the Red Sea Government Building
In case of non-compliance with the above-mentioned instructions, attendance shall be canceled.

Therefore, the legal representatives and/or the technical managers of the safari boats and the owners of the diving and water sports centers who own daily or speed boats in the Red Sea Government are kindly requested to review the schedules and contact us to register the crew data interested in attending the course, and to ensure that they meet the previously mentioned course instructions.
