International Organization of Standardization.
ISO’s work makes a positive difference to the world we live in. ISO standards add value to all types of business operations. ISO standards also serve to safeguard consumers and users of products and services – as well as making their lives simpler.
ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 161 countries, one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system and publishes the finished standards. ISO is a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors. Their standards are often highly technical - and they need to be - but they're developed for people by people. We use the requirements stated in the EN 14467 / ISO 24803 standards for recreational scuba diving and service provider. For more information see their website: http://www.iso.org/iso/home.htm
