Announcement #37 of 2025

10 August 2025

Dear CDWS members,
Within the framework of close cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Egyptian Tourism Federation, and various Tourism Chambers, and in line with the Ministry's commitment to implementing Egypt's Vision 2030—which prioritizes the development of Egyptian personnel and sustainable development through investment in education and training—the Ministry aims to elevate the Egyptian tourism destination to a competitive level alongside other international tourism destinations.
The Chamber of Diving and Water Sports (CDWS) is pleased to announce that the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities has launched the first Electronic Training Platform for Tourism and Antiquities (EGTAP). This platform is designed to qualify and develop the human resources in the tourism and antiquities sector, a fundamental pillar for improving service quality and enhancing the global competitiveness of Egypt's tourist destination.
Platform Objectives:
1. Providing Professional Training Content: Offering courses, training programs, and workshops tailored to the needs of tourism and antiquities professionals in both public and private sectors, as well as researchers and students. These programs are delivered by an elite group of academics and experts, with continuous evaluation to ensure training effectiveness and maximum benefit.
2. Modernizing Training Methods: Through a flexible, advanced e-learning model, trainees can access distance learning anytime, anywhere, and receive accredited electronic certificates upon successful completion.
3. Linking Trainees to Job Opportunities: Facilitating connections between outstanding trainees and private-sector tourism job opportunities to enhance the efficiency of the labor market.
4. Continuous Content Updates: Regularly adding new programs aligned with sector needs, including sustainable tourism, food safety, marketing, management, hospitality, and more.
5. Digital Transformation for Competitive Teams: Prioritizing innovative training content in collaboration with the Egyptian Tourism Federation and specialized tourism chambers, while accommodating diverse professional and academic backgrounds to reflect real-world private-sector requirements.
How to Access:
The target audience can register for free on the platform via https://egtap.com by creating a personal profile with their basic, professional, and educational details. This enables enrollment in available training courses.
Currently, the platform offers a range of free, live-streamed (online) training courses, with accredited e-certificates provided upon completion.
