Dear CDWS members,
It has been noticed during recent audits on diving centers that unoriginal spare parts of unknown origin for diving equipment exist and is being used, those spare parts do not conform with the safety standards followed in Egypt or internationally.
The CDWS warn against the use of such parts, as using those pieces may endanger the safety of the divers and put their lives at risk. (Attached are some photos of those pieces as an example).
Using those unoriginal parts is completely prohibited, and we urge everyone to ensure that the spare parts being used are original and approved by international diving equipment manufacturers and follow both Egyptian and international standards. To protect the lives of the practitioners and not to expose the facility to legal accountability.
Kindly note that in the event of using/ finding unoriginal spare parts during an audit or spot check, the applicable penalties will be imposed.
