Yes, all diving and water sports centers and boats must undergo an audit, a process that is now mandatory in Egypt.
The technical manager should take the necessary measures to review the standards and professional principles for an audit, your technical manager will need to submit original documents to ss.audit@cdws.travel for South Sinai and Cairo governorate, and rs.audit@cdws.travel for the Red Sea and Alexandria governorate
Please review the Manual Protocol of Inspections for Diving Centers and Tourism for more information.
We cannot guarantee an exact time taken for this process to be complete. It depends on the time taken to meet all the requirements needed to pass your audit. The facility will be notified of the result and the procedure required to be implemented within one working week after receiving the documents.
The inspector will conduct a technical inspection and ISO inspection using the form EN/ISO certification scheme papers (click here) during the audit process. These papers ensure all areas are access correctly and meet the required standards. To help you understand the certification scheme sheet we recommend you download the ISO review sheet to help prepare your business for the audit (click here) You will receive copies of the certification scheme papers at the end of the audit.
IMPORTANT: Your technical manager must be present at the time of the audit, by law only the technical manager can work with the inspector to complete the audit.
During the audit the inspectors will be accessing the following areas:
The license will be valid for 1 year.
Once your current membership is coming to an end your technical manager will need to restart the audit process to submit an audit request, please refer back to the audit protocol P.3 for more information.
The inspector will advise you about what you will need to do to comply with the set standards. Then you will receive an e-mail from the CDWS with all the remarks of the audit outcome with the missing requirements. Your technical manager will be given two weeks to address this matter and a re-visit will be scheduled with the membership department, with a second audit taking place by a joint committee between the ministry and the chamber.
You will need to advise the membership department of the change in address as soon as possible. This change will affect your current license. In the event of this happening it may not affect your ISO inspection but it will affect your previous technical inspection. So you will need to resubmit for new audit inspection. For more information please refer back to the protocol of audits for diving centers and safari boats.
